# SpriteRelay > SpriteRelay is local software that connects compatible AI assistants to Aseprite through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with Live and CLI workflows. SpriteRelay Live edits the document open in Aseprite through the matched SpriteRelay Live Bridge. SpriteRelay CLI works in staged copies for batch automation, with preview and explicit production commits. SpriteRelay Complete includes both editions and the matched Bridge. Aseprite is required and licensed separately. A compatible MCP client and Node.js are also required; consult the technical reference for version requirements. SpriteRelay is not affiliated with Aseprite. Live document edits do not automatically save to disk. CLI production changes require an explicit commit. Local processing does not mean an external AI client or model provider processes data locally; its own configuration and policies apply. ## Product and documentation - [SpriteRelay overview and pricing](https://www.spriterelay.com/): Edition comparison, requirements, demos, and purchase links. - [Aseprite MCP guide](https://www.spriterelay.com/aseprite-mcp/): How MCP connects AI assistants to Aseprite and how Live and staged workflows differ. - [Technical reference](https://www.spriterelay.com/technical-reference/): Tools, operations, compatibility, commits, verification, and recovery. - [Security and privacy](https://www.spriterelay.com/security-and-privacy/): Local processing, data boundaries, safeguards, and limitations. - [Licence agreement](https://www.spriterelay.com/eula): Authoritative licence, privacy, support, update, and refund terms. ## Optional - [Gallery](https://www.spriterelay.com/gallery/): Pixel art and animation examples. - [SpriteRelay YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@SpriteRelay): Product demonstrations. - [Live MCP demo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB5QpSXjFnI): AI-assisted pixel art animation in Aseprite. - [CLI MCP demo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jkc_tg9sJs): AI-assisted pixel art automation in Aseprite.
